Being the daughter of a psychologist and a filmmaker, hazazaH Film & Photography director Tessa seamlessly blends both worlds in her career as a documentary filmmaker. She studied Documentary Directing at the prestigious Netherlands Film Academy in Amsterdam, where her talent quickly shone through. Her award-winning graduation project, “The Origin of Trouble,” has been making waves at film festivals around the globe, earning recognition for its intimate storytelling and sharp insights.
Tessa’s analytical, psychological perspective allows her to delve deep into her often-vivid characters, uncovering their most genuine emotions and inner beauty. With a human touch, she portrays stories with authenticity and grace, effortlessly drawing out humor and vulnerability. Her strength lies in asking the right questions and sharing small, powerful stories on a grand scale.
In addition to her documentary work, Tessa has made her mark in the commercial world, including her compelling campaign for Rijksoverheid. She has also ventured into narrative storytelling with her film Overtijd, further showcasing her versatility as a filmmaker.
