Tomas Kaan

Director at hazazaH Film & Photography Tomas Kaan studied history in Amsterdam and Berlin before venturing into filmmaking. His work is distinguished by an outspoken visual style that straddles the line between documentary and fiction. For Tomas, filmmaking is a way to preserve the essence of the time we live in, much like preserving artifacts in a laboratory. He has a particular affinity for experimental films, and his all-time favorite book is J.D. Salinger’s Catcher in the Rye.

Tomas’ films have been showcased at film festivals worldwide, earning multiple awards. In addition to his work in film, he has directed successful campaigns for major brands such as Vodafone and IKEA and Human Playground Netflix, further showcasing his versatility and ability to blend storytelling with commercial impact.
