Director at hazazaH Film & Photography Tomas Kaan studied history in Amsterdam and Berlin before venturing into filmmaking. His work is distinguished by an outspoken visual style that straddles the line between documentary and fiction. For Tomas, filmmaking is a way to preserve the essence of the time we live in, much like preserving artifacts in a laboratory. He has a particular affinity for experimental films, and his all-time favorite book is J.D. Salinger’s Catcher in the Rye.
