In Zonen zonder vaders delen drie mannen open en eerlijk hun verhaal. Leif, Alexandro en Nabil kennen één gemene deler: zij groeiden op in moeilijke omstandigheden en zonder (emotionele) band met hun vader. In de documentaire vertellen de mannen over het gemis van een vaderfiguur en wat dit met hen heeft gedaan.

De documentaire is 4 april om 22:25 te zien bij BNNVARA op NPO2, daarna op NPO Start en 2Doc.
